La nuova famiglia Technum DF CX va a rimpiazzare direttamente la precedente serie di 29 modelli BX, portando con se i miglioramenti che Shimano introduce ogni anno in ogni componente di una canna da pesca. Costruite con tecnologia Shadow Diaflash, combinata con carbonio XT100, le canne di questa serie hanno impugnatura in Power Cork, anelli Shimano T-Lite Hardlite, tubo rigido per il trasporto e sistema di bilanciamento opzionale.
